My name is Rebekah Johnson, and I’m glad you’re here. I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Before becoming a counsellor, I spent 15 years working as a Registered Nurse after completing my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Victoria. My nursing work took me through acute‑care, community, and rural settings, where I witnessed firsthand the resilience of individuals navigating medical, relational, and occupational trauma.
Both my personal and professional experiences have shaped my understanding of how deeply systems, relationships, and environments can impact our well‑being. I bring this awareness into my counselling work with care and intention.
I practice from a humanistic, feminist, and anti‑oppressive lens, grounded in the belief that each person carries inherent wisdom, strength, and capacity for healing. My role is to walk alongside you; supporting you as you reconnect with yourself, make meaning of your experiences, and move toward greater clarity, resilience, and self‑trust.
